After a 90 minute police chase, officers were finally able to arrest a domestic violence suspect in Buena Park. Police say that the suspect led authorities on a chase that started in the city of Palmdale. The suspect then allegedly drove through the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys, through downtown Los Angeles, and then finally surrendered in Orange County's Buena Park.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received a call about a possible domestic violence case around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday from a home in the 37700 block of 52nd Street East in Palmdale. The man allegedly head-butted his girlfriend and fired shots through a door as she closed it. The man fled the Palmdale home as the authorities arrived. ABC News reports that no injuries were reported from the home.

Sgt. Bill Costleigh of the Sheriff's Palmdale Station told ABC News that the suspect was believed to have a .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol during the incident. During the police chase, the suspect allegedly ran over a spike strip in Buena Park that flattened one of the tires. Deputies say that he surrendered to authorities around 11:25 last night.

The man was taken into custody, but he should get a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney so that his rights will be protected.
