String of Armed Robberies in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Police Department has made headway on string of robberies in the Los Angeles area, where officers arrested two suspects last week. The suspects allegedly robbed six stores in which they demanded money from a safe and then took off with undisclosed amounts of money.

On January 13, 2010, Angelo Wngo, 18, and Devon Glover, 21, were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. Investigators believe that Wngo and Glover are part of a large robbery ring, where there could potentially be others involved with the string of robberies. Wngo and Glover are currently being held in lieu of $200,000 bail at the Southwest Division Jail. Photos of the robbers are available through the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

It's likely that the two young men will get Los Angeles criminal defense attorneys for the best defense possible, when the trial comes along. In the mean time, detectives with LAPD are are asking for the public's help in recognizing Wngo and Glover to link them to additional reported robberies.

Anyone with information is urged to call Wilshire robbery detectives at (213) 473-0514 or (213) 922-8205. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
